Our students achieved excellent results in the National Student Soundscape Design Competition

Sponsored by the Acoustical Society of China and hosted by the School of Architecture and Urban Planning and the Institute of Acoustics at Tongji University, the third (2024) “Soundscape Design Competition for College Students” selected three first prizes, six second prizes and seven third prizes after the preliminary examination and final defence.

The theme of the competition is “Soundscapes and Health”, and the competition is open to college students from all over the country to collect entries. The team of Meitong Liu, Yuewenqi Ma and Xinrong Li won the second prize with their work “The ‘Fast Charge’ Plan for Workers”. Huiyang Zhang (U21), Keyi Ouyang, Qinglu Bai and Yunting (M24) won the Third Prize with their work “Soundscape Water Connection: Optimizing Soundscapes in the Dashi Lake Area from a Sonic Perspective to Enhance Experience”.The award-winning projects were jointly guided by Prof Yuan and Guo Siwen.
