The 4th (2023) AUL Innovative Research Competition on “Smart Habitat and Healthy Cities” sponsored by the World Association of Chinese Architects (WACA) and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education selected 11 first prizes, 16 second prizes, 22 third prizes, and 5 Heide Acoustics Newcomer Awards after the preliminary examination and final defence.
Students of our group Ruining (M18/D22), Duotuo (M22), and Xin (M21) won the first prize and the Hyde Newcomer Prize in Acoustics for their achievement “The Influence of Green Visibility on Soundscape Pleasure in High-Density Urban Open Spaces” and Prof Zhang was awarded the Outstanding Supervisor Prize; Xinhao (M18/D23), Yang (M22), and Wenjie (M21) won the second prize and the Hyde Newcomer Prize in Acoustics for their achievement “The Design of Urban Park Paths Based on Soundscape Experience”; Jiaxin (D22), Hanyu (M22) and Shuliang (M23) won the second prize for “Design of Changshu Square Pagoda Park Soundscape Live Protection Based on Visual and Auditory Sensory Evaluation”.
