From 4th to 13th May, the group conducted the 2024 Urban Soundscape Field Survey. The survey selected nine sites in Shenyang city, including waterfront parks, pocket parks, traffic roundabout plazas, residential plazas, urban forest parks, etc., and conducted a large-sample survey of soundscape perception among the people in the sites, and obtained more than 500 valid questionnaires, as well as corresponding binaural audio and panoramic image data. The field survey on soundscape perception in urban open spaces started in 2018, under the support of the European Research Council (ERC) international co-operation project, and will be carried out successively every year according to the seasonal changes, and more than 2,000 valid questionnaires as well as corresponding audio and video data have been collected so far. The group will also carry out other spatial and regional soundscape field surveys successively in 2024. We thank the investigators for their hard work.
