Prof Zhang recently accepted an invitation to formally join the editorial board of Discover Cities. Discover Cities is an open access journal in Springer Nature’s Discover series, supporting multidisciplinary research and policy making in the urban sciences. The journal aims to provide researchers, policymakers and the general public with the latest developments in urban research and a range of interdisciplinary studies focusing on cities and urban life.
The main research directions include smart cities, urban energy and sustainable development, urban planning and design and transportation, urban construction, urban climate and its impact, the built environment, urban water systems, urban agriculture and forestry, urban economics and policy, and urban health and well-being.
